Real People, Real Stories

How one pig fed the SS3 community for 5 years
When the SS3 was given a small amount of money to buy food, the community purchased some pigs and a few chickens. But rather than eating them, they fed the animals until they became larger.
They then took the animals to market to sell for more pigs and more chickens. They bred the animals, which bred more animals and more eggs, which led to a self-sustainable food source for the elders and children, beyond just a diet of rice. Smart.
Very smart.

How one piece of canvas helped a man walk after 2 years on not being able to stand up
With antiquated or no equipment to help seniors, many of the elder residents at SS3 spend their days sedentary, with no means to even begin therapy or physical movement.
This all changed for one gentleman who was given the chance to actually stand up. Thanks to a generous medical supply donor, SEAHP brought over 30 medical belts to helps seniors stand, balance and walk. When the belt was put on this resident, he stood up, took a deep breath and began
walking…for the first time in TWO years.
Not a miracle, just a simple gesture that will change his life forever.

How one encounter funded an orphan to go to culinary school
What started as a simple trip to partake in the great work of SEAHP turned into a life changing experience for one volunteer.
He met a young female orphan and became so touched with her life story, he knew he had to do something. That something was starting a fund so that she could go pursue her dream of becoming a chef.
One gesture is about to change the life of a girl who might not otherwise have a chance to live her dream.
